This blog post will be highlighting my comments on three different Digital Artefact pitches. Throughout this process, I have given feedback that will both help and motivate my fellow students to seek further resources and research further into their own Digital Artefacts. Let’s get into it!
Alana’s idea was an interesting one and one that I had never even thought about but it was very encouraging to see that Alana was focusing on a topic that she seems quite passionate about and that is honestly a great sign. In order to help Alana’s already packed list of resources, I provided a link to a website that talked about the impact of COVID-19 on the healthcare system in Australia and I believed it could help bring more focus to issues surrounding our country at the moment.
Josh’s DA idea is very cool and it caught my eye straight away. I love creative stories and I tend to write little bits and pieces in my spare time so I could relate to this DA a lot more compared to Alana’s. I gave my opinion on what Josh should name his podcast mini-series and I tried to relate it to how his characters use HAM radio in order to communicate across the globe. I then proceeded to offer a few suggestions on some different movies that could help Josh add more detail to his mini-series. Both titles are great films in my opinion and place emphasis on the idea that there are less people around.
I liked Saxon’s initial idea, I understood where he was coming from and the fact that he is basing it on music, I instantly gained interest in his Digital Artefact. Being able to incorporate different genres and different artists into Saxon’s DA brings versatility and a broader range to his project. I mentioned how focusing on the tragic passings on Mac Miller and XXXTentacion could influence his project in a positive way and place emphasis on the future of music and the direction that producers are taking with different music. I then proceeded to link an article that explains the impact that COVID-19 has on the music industry. Overall, I really like the direction Saxon is heading towards.
In terms of the comments that I receive, I will take into account the different resources and feedback provided and will seek more advice from my peers relating to how I can link certain aspects together to create a more cohesive project. Taking on both good and bad feedback will help my project in the broad scheme of things.
