Yo!
This weeks topic of discussion was the IoT (Internet of Things) concept and it’s actually a really awesome idea when you really think about it.
According to IoTAgenda, the internet of things, or IoT, is a system of interrelated computing devices, mechanical and digital machines, objects, animals or people that are provided with unique identifiers (UIDs) and the ability to transfer data over a network without requiring human-to-human or human-to-computer interaction.
This collection of data has changed immensely over the past few years and it is one of the most controversial issues in the modern day. The IoT is used to give businesses a better idea of what their consumers need and want as well as their experience using the business. Apple uses this method every month by sending out surveys to their loyal consumers that gives them some advice on what they can improve as well as giving consumers the chance to provide their needs and wants. This is a big reason why Apple is hugely successful and has such a strong following.
Cheers, Jack.
G’day mate! Nice remediation haha. Your blog does well at explaining this week’s tricky concept, I personally had a bit of trouble understanding it but your blog really helped! If I were to suggest something maybe incorporate some of the ideas in this link in https://www.sas.com/en_us/insights/big-data/internet-of-things.html They explain the ideas of the internet of things really well!
Cheers, Nick 🙂
