Hey!
This weeks riveting topic was dark fiber and the impact of cyber crime on the internet.
The internet is a HUGE realm filled with all types of people posting interesting and not so interesting things each day. But one significant issue on the internet is the unauthorised collection of data from hackers. This is called ‘Cybercrime’.
According to Technopedia, cybercrime is defined as a crime in which a computer is the object of the crime (hacking, phishing, spamming) or is used as a tool to commit an offence (child pornography, hate crimes). Cybercrime is rapidly increasing due to the mass amount of mobile phones and computers being purchased and used on a day-to-day basis. Since the internet is a constant copy machine, hackers perform these cybercrimes with ease. For example, accessing personal data including credit cards, bills, emails and more.
SO! Try to steer clear of hackers and never save your passwords on the internet because it makes it much, much easier for hackers to obtain your information.
Peace…
